A chemical company produces a plant protection product in several plants and various outdoor facilities. Production is technically very complex and also critical.
A fire in such a large chemical company is extremely dangerous and must be extinguished as quickly as possible. That's why the entire facility is secured with fire extinguisher cannons. These fire extinguishing cannons fill the levels of the chemical plant with foam up to a height of 3m. A person in the room would not survive this extinguishing operation. Our project to monitor a chemical company was about visually securing. Before extinguishing the fire, it must be ensured that no one is in the danger area.
New infrastructure was maximally developed for this project. By dividing the technically complex and critical production across several sub-operations and various outdoor facilities, large distances had to be bridged and brought together.
Our ExConnection Rail series was equipped with a DCDC converter. The centerpiece is a high-performance PoE network switch, media-independent for an optically intrinsically safe fiber optic supply for external areas. This ensures the use of our camera systems for block field perimetry control, burglary protection and personal access control in the loading systems.

- Software adaptation implemented to meet the security level and requirements of the works council (2 password entry).
The scope of tasks included not only the delivery of the device technology and support during the initial commissioning in the Ex area, but also the certification of the initial commissioning by the manufacturer (according to the ATEX guidelines).
As the project progressed, SAMCON carried out visual inspections of the device technology (detailed inspections of our product range are possible). To this day, SAMCON supports the group in maintenance and repairs.
