Project planning

Oil and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), regardless of whether they are mined using the on-shore or offshore process, must be transported by ship, train or truck.

The project was about an on-spot system, a filling station for railway tank cars, which is equipped with a hydraulically movable filling system from above and a filling point loading capacity. The tank cars are positioned in front of the system by a locomotive. Using the 180° panoramic camera at the entrance/exit of the station to monitor large areas and large outdoor areas in potentially explosive areas, the first tank car is placed precisely under the filling point.

With the help of our Ex camera with crosshair generator, controlled via a video management system for visualizing the individual stations from a control room placed on the track, the filling system is moved and moved into the tank car dome. The network video surveillance system offers many advantages and special functions. Benefits include remote access (multiple authorized users possible), high image quality, event management (reducing irrelevant recordings), intelligent video features (switching camera on motion, recording to multiple locations, sending messages), hassle-free, future-proof integration options and a better scalability, flexibility and cost efficiency.

The tank car is then filled efficiently and monitored by sensors with the flammable liquid via frequency-controlled pumps depending on the tank level, optimally illuminated by ultra-compact explosion-proof liteServers.

High image quality is crucial in order to clearly capture a process and to clearly identify people or objects involved (to prevent sources of danger, comply with operational safety and fire protection).
