Special conditions for safe use
- The device is supplied without a cable tail and gland. The installation of suitable explosion-proof connection cable kits to the flipConnect is the responsibility of the user or can be found in the SAMCON compatibility table!
- The pre-assembled red M25 blanking plug (nylon) is not explosion-proof and is only used as an assembly tool for connecting the flipConnect!
- Use in mining areas (ATEX device Group I M2), is permitted!
- No holes, whether blind or clear, may be drilled in the ExCam enclosure other than already provided by the manufacturer.
- The requirements of EN/IEC 60079-14 must be applied.
- All used cable glands and plugs have to be certified.
- Due to the high weight of the camera, we recommend the use of a mechanical fall arrester (e.g. safety wire) in addition to the standard wall mount or ceiling mount bracket.
