The ExCam miniTube is an analog explosion proof camera with fixed focal length lens in an ultra compact housing. The video camera delivers superb picture quality (FullHD resolution) for process monitoring and surveillance technology. The ExCam miniTube is approved for dust and gas explosion risk zones in accordance with the EU directive 14/34/EU (ATEX and IECEx, further certification will follow).

Thanks to the new supplement of our certificates we now can offer an ultra compact housing. With the ExCam miniTube, an ultra compact, analog, ex-proof multisignal camera enters the market which is not only very economic but also robust and media resistant.

Despite its ultra compact size (diameter 48mm, length 127mm) the ExCam miniTube offers FullHD resolution. With its weight of only 0.6kg the ExCam miniTube is a real lightweight. Furthermore it is very cost-efficient.

1/2.9'' 2 Megapixel CMOS Sensor

Excellent Picture Quality, Very High Sensitivity, High Resolution Images. The newly developed 1/2.9" CMOS sensor results into a higher image quality. The ExCam miniTube incorporates the CMOS sensor that offers highly improved sensitivity and colour reproduction compared to earlier sensors. In addition, the explosion proof camera can operate with a minimum illumination of 0.01 lx, resulting in a significant improvement in image quality under limited lighting conditions. This explosion proof camera achieves a high resolution of 1080p (1920x1080).

Day/Night Function

The ExCam miniTube features a Day/Night capability, which provides optimum sensitivity in both day and night shooting applications. As the scene illumination darkens, the camera then switches to B&W mode enabling it to operate under a minimum illumination of 0.01lx (AGC, S/W).
