• The device must not be used for applications in the mining industry (ATEX group I), nor in other hazardous areas with potentially "high" risk of damage caused by mechanical stresses (ATEX group II)!
• Furthermore, it must be ensured that the plastic dome of the housing is never subjected to mechanical force.
• No holes, whether blind or clear, may be drilled in the ExCam enclosure other than already provided by the manufacturer.
• The requirements of EN/IEC 60079-14 must be applied.
• All used cable glands and plugs have to be certified.
• The safety instructions for the pre-installed ex-e terminal box must be observed.
• Due to the high weight of the camera, we recommend the use of a mechanical fall arrester (e.g. safety wire) in addition to the standard wall mount or ceiling mount bracket.
• The following warnings regarding electrostatic charging and the UV coating of the dome on the housing must be present:
